Course scheduling problem is assigning of coursesinto specific time slots and located in suitablerooms. The manual solution of this problem byconsidering all constraints usually requires a longtime and a hard work in order to provide anappropriate solution. In addition, the obtainedsolution usually is unsatisfactory due to limitedhuman oversight. In this study, Genetic Algorithm(GA) is presented for solving the constraint-baseduniversity timetabling problem. The developedsystem includes flexible and intelligent softwarethat automate the course scheduling task andaddresses all special features found in AtilimUniversity’s Engineering Faculty.
